Title: Air Quality Meteorologist for Monitoring Group

Job Description:

This position involves a combination of office and field assignments.  Office tasks involve acquiring meteorological and air quality data from remote locations, and the review, analysis, processing, and reporting of these data.  Field work involves calibrations, audits and troubleshooting and repair of meteorological and air quality instrumentation.  

Applicants must have the ability to solve and troubleshoot problems relating to monitoring and data collection instrumentation without direct supervision.  Applicants must be comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions.

This position requires travel of varied frequencies throughout the Western U.S. and other locations depending on current project requirements. 

Desired Experience:

Office portion requires skills in technical report writing and MS software and other computer programs.  Field work requires good mechanical and electrical aptitudes/skills.  Familiarity with meteorological instrumentation, particulate samplers and monitors, and ambient gas analyzers is desired.  Fluency in Spanish is a plus. 

Desired Education:

A B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Meteorology or related field is desired.  OSHA, MSHA, and first aid training a plus.
